Socio-formative Rooting

The new figure of socio-educational roots, allows to be already enrolled, studying or having applied for a place in regulated training (post-compulsory secondary education, intermediate vocational training, professionalism certificates levels 1 to 3 or SEPE courses of occupations difficult to cover).

It requires a social insertion report, as opposed to what was previously the case with this type of rootedness.

The socio-formative roots permit to study and work from the beginning. Thus, Article 131 of Royal Decree 1155/2024 establishes that the residence permit for socio-training roots entitles the holder to work for others for up to 30 hours per week, paid at least the minimum interprofessional wage or the wage established in the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

This is a temporary residence permit for those who have been residing in Spain for at least two years and are committed to carrying out certain professional studies and training in centers authorized for this purpose, and in a classroom or blended learning manner.
